HDC opens stall bookings for Hulhumalé New Year festival

Housing Development Corporation has opened applications for stall rentals at the upcoming New Year’s Eve festival in Hulhumalé.

The corporation said 80 stalls will be made available, with allocations based on eligibility and a first-come, first-served online application process. Each stall will be rented for six days at a total cost of MVR 3,000, calculated at MVR 500 per day.

HDC stated that registered businesses applying must submit a copy of their national identity card along with either an SME registration certificate or a business profile sheet issued by the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade.

Operating hours for the festival stalls have been set from 4:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. between 27 and 29 December, from 4:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. on 30 and 31 December, and from 4:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. on 1 January 2026.

Applications will be accepted through the designated online form from 12:00 p.m. on 22 December until 12:00 p.m. on 23 December 2025.
