President Muizzu and the First Lady Sajida
An orchid has been named in honour of President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu and First Lady Sajida Mohamed during the President's ongoing official visit to Singapore.
The naming took place at Singapore’s National Orchid Garden, where the couple was presented with a certificate commemorating the naming of the new orchid. The orchid now joins the "VIP Orchids" collection, a prestigious tradition in Singapore where orchids are named after distinguished international guests.
President Muizzu and the First Lady also toured the Singapore Botanical Gardens and signed the visitors' book during their visit.
The President’s state visit to Singapore, which runs from June 29 to July 2, is at the invitation of Singaporean President Tharman Shanmugaratnam. The visit includes high-level meetings aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation.
