Maldives Post Begins Work to Launch Services in Hulhumalé Phase Two

Maldives Post Limited has commenced preparations to expand its postal services to Phase Two of Hulhumalé, responding to growing demand driven by a rise in international shipments.
As part of the initiative, the company has opened a bidding process for leasing a building in Phase Two to house postal operations. In a recent announcement, Maldives Post invited interested parties to submit proposals per the details outlined in the gazetted information sheet.
The proposal submission is scheduled for the 18th of this month at 14:45 at the Maldives Post headquarters.
According to the gazetted information, the building must be located on the ground floor, with a minimum area of 1,700 square feet, and must be ready for immediate use. The lease period is set for five years.
This move comes in light of increased postal activity, particularly after the launch of Temu shipments from China to the Maldives. To address the resulting backlog and service demands, Post Limited has also announced recruitment efforts to hire more staff.
The planned expansion into Hulhumalé Phase Two marks a significant step in strengthening the national postal network and improving service accessibility for residents in the growing urban area.
