The President’s Office has confirmed that there will be no additional government holidays declared for this year’s Eid al-Adha, apart from those already listed on the official calendar.
In a statement posted on social media today, the President’s Office Spokesperson Heena Waleed said that since Saudi Arabia has announced that Hajj Day will fall on Thursday, June 5, government offices will be closed on that day.
Eid al-Adha is expected to fall on Friday, June 6. As per standard practice, the government has allocated four days of holidays for Eid. This year, the Eid holiday will span from Friday through Monday, including the weekend. As such, government offices will resume operations on Tuesday, June 10.
This year's Eid holiday period will be one of the shortest in recent years, offering a total of five consecutive days off, with no additional leave days added.
The President’s Office urged the public to plan accordingly and extended well wishes for a safe and blessed Eid.
