President Dr. Muizzu Confers National Honour on Saudi Fund CEO

His Excellency President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has conferred the prestigious Order of the Dignified Rule of Muleege Dynasty (O.D.R.M.D) upon the Chief Executive Officer of the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD), His Excellency Sultan bin Abdulrahman Al-Murshid.

The honour was presented at an official ceremony held at the President's Office on Saturday morning.

The Order commemorates the noble reign of Al-Sultan Muhammed Shamsuddin and is awarded in recognition of distinguished service and contributions to the nation. President Dr. Muizzu awarded the honour in appreciation of Sultan Al-Murshid’s pivotal role in furthering the generous support and developmental cooperation extended by the Saudi Fund for Development to the Maldives.

The SFD has been instrumental in funding and facilitating several key infrastructure and social development projects across the Maldives.

The presentation of the award was made under the authority vested in the President by Article 115 of the Constitution of the Republic of Maldives and Section 3 of Law No. 1/97.
