The Maldives Immigration Office in Malé has announced that it will continue to provide passport services on January 2nd, despite the government holiday declared aligning with the New Year. On this day, the office will process online passport applications for individuals aged 65 and above, as well as for emergency cases, from 8:30 AM to 2:00 PM.
Additionally, passports can be collected during these hours by obtaining a token through the Queue-bee application or directly at the Immigration Office. The public is reminded that passport applications can be submitted online 24/7 via the IMUGA platform.
This announcement comes following President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu's declaration that January 2nd will be a holiday, aligning with the New Year celebrations.
