The Ministry of Higher Education, Labor, and Skills Development has announced that 2,116 students are currently listed in the Maldives registry of students studying abroad.
According to the Ministry, the registry includes 915 male students and 1,201 female students. These students are pursuing education through various channels, including bilateral scholarships, government scholarships, government loans, self-funding, or other means.
The Ministry previously explained that the registry was established to simplify the monitoring and management of students' affairs while they are studying abroad.
The registry of Maldivian students studying abroad was introduced in April this year.
