President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu met with the AA. Rasdhoo Island Council and the Women’s Development Committee (WDC) this afternoon at the Secretariat of Rasdhoo Island Council. The meeting underscored the Administration’s commitment to addressing pressing local concerns and advancing development initiatives on the island.
During the discussions, the council commended the Government’s ongoing housing initiatives, highlighting their positive impact on the community. They also brought forth priority areas for the island’s growth, including the need for coastal protection, the construction of an additional 50 housing units, and improved access to ice for fishermen—a critical resource for the island’s fishing industry.
President Dr. Muizzu assured the council of the Administration’s dedication to addressing these issues while delivering on his pledges. He elaborated on efforts underway to tackle the challenges raised and emphasized the Government’s support for initiatives that drive economic development.
The meeting also provided an opportunity for the President and Cabinet Ministers to share updates on the Administration’s developmental plans for Rasdhoo. Their collaborative dialogue reaffirmed the Government’s focus on fostering sustainable growth and meeting the community’s needs.
