President Muizzu Outlines Plans to Fulfill Campaign Promises in the Next Two Years

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has pledged that 2025 and 2026 will be pivotal years for implementing his campaign promises. Speaking to the people of Thoddoo during his ongoing tour of Alif Alif and Kaafu Atolls, the President emphasized a systematic and equitable approach to development projects across the Maldives.
The President acknowledged the challenges posed by the previous government's politically driven budget but assured that the newly passed budget aligns with his administration’s policies. He promised that the next two years would see progress on key infrastructure projects, including harbors, roads, land reclamation, schools, and hospitals.
Highlighting Thoddoo's industrious community, the President praised the island’s growth in agriculture and tourism, noting plans to expand guesthouse capacity to accommodate 3,000 tourists. To support the local economy, he announced plans to establish a dollar ATM, ensuring better access to foreign currency for the island’s residents.
The President also committed to addressing Thoddoo’s immediate needs, including road construction, health center expansion, and resolving school space constraints. He emphasized his administration’s focus on equal access to services for all citizens, regardless of political affiliations.
