The Maldives Police Service has partnered with five organizations to host “Cyber Expo 2024,” an event focused on promoting cybersecurity awareness and fostering a safe digital environment. The agreements were signed during a ceremony held at Iskander Building today.
Commissioner of Police Ali Shujau signed on behalf of the Maldives Police Service, while representatives from key partners formalized their commitments. Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC), the bronze partner, was represented by Deputy Chief Operating Officer Hussain Naufal. Maldives Islamic Bank (MIB) signed as the banking partner, represented by Deputy Chief Executive Officer Ahmed Riza.
Public Service Media (PSM) joined as the media partner, with Managing Director Mohammed Saeed signing the agreement. Dhiraagu, the telecommunications partner, was represented by Managing Director Ismail Rasheed, while Parkside, the catering partner, was represented by owner Ali Taufiq.
The Cyber Expo will take place from December 10 to 12 at Central Park, Hulhumalé, and is open to government institutions, companies, private enterprises, and professionals. The expo aims to enhance public understanding of cybersecurity and promote safer practices in the digital space, according to a statement from the Maldives Police Service.
