The Fahi Dhiriulhun Corporation (FDC) has stated that it is leasing out 32 commercial units located in towers under construction in Hulhumale' Phase II.
These commercial units, FDC held a press conference during which they stated that the commercial destinations would be set apart for business and other activities; space have been allotted on the ground and first floors of every tower. This brings the total amount of available areas for rent to around 127.
FDC said it is developing the towers in various zones, depending on which tower will be leased first — zone 1. This leasing is also expected to unlock next week, followed closely by plans for further leasing of towers available in other zones.
The company said the commercial units will be multi-purpose. Towers will contain Food and beverage shops (and) marts will be within a five-minute walk, while health centers must within a ten minutes. A 20 minute walk will take you to youth centres and office spaces. It will also incorporate designated areas for cafes and restaurants.
FDC reiterated its pledge that the towers would be completed with necessary facilities and services before residents moved in to the flats. The corporation also mentioned how it is still trying to speed up the process to build 4,000 homes in the area.
