Maldives and Pakistan Explore Enhanced Military Cooperation

The Maldives and Pakistan have held discussions aimed at strengthening military ties on the sidelines of the 12th International Defence Exhibition and Seminar (IDEAS 2024) in Pakistan.

Maldives' Minister of Defence, Mohamed Ghassan Maumoon, met with Pakistan's Chief of Army Staff, General Saeed Asim Munir, to discuss opportunities for advancing bilateral military cooperation. The Maldives' Ministry of Defence stated that the meeting underscored the commitment of both nations to bolstering regional stability through enhanced collaboration.

IDEAS 2024 has brought together representatives from 38 countries, serving as a significant platform to explore deeper military cooperation and collaboration among nations.
