Ghaziabad police have arrested Zeeshan (23) for murdering his sister-in-law, Shaheen Parveen (34), and her three-month-old daughter, Aafiya, in Bamheta village. The crime stemmed from Zeeshan's desire for revenge after a humiliating altercation with Shaheen's cousin and his suspicion that she dissuaded her husband, Burhan, from giving him $355 for a Dubai work visa.
Zeeshan committed the murders in front of Shaheen’s two daughters, using a scarf to strangle Shaheen and his hands to kill Aafiya. However, the elder daughter, aged three and a half, escaped. Following the crime, Zeeshan fled to Noida, where he threatened Burhan over the phone using a stolen mobile.
Police apprehended Zeeshan while he attempted to return to Ghaziabad. This incident highlights underlying familial tensions and financial struggles, a recurring motive in domestic violence cases in the region.
