Cabinet Reshuffle: Moosa Zameer Takes Charge as Finance Minister, Dr. Abdulla Khaleel Appointed Foreign Affairs Minister

President Muizzu has introduced a major reshuffle to the country’s cabinet, appointing Moosa Zameer as the new Finance Minister and Dr. Abdulla Khaleel as the Minister of Foreign Affairs. The appointments were confirmed during an official ceremony at the President’s Office earlier this afternoon.
Zameer has been tasked with overseeing the nation’s finances at a critical juncture, while Khaleel transitions to lead the Foreign Affairs Ministry from his previous role as the Minister of Health. These appointments mark a strategic shift in the government’s approach to both financial and diplomatic affairs.
In another significant change, Abdulla Nazim Ibrahim has been reappointed as the Minister of Health. Nazim, a seasoned politician, had previously held the same position under former President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom, where he was credited with several key reforms in the health sector.
