President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has extended an invitation to Kuwaiti investors to explore investment opportunities in the Maldives, highlighting the potential for growth and collaboration between the two nations. The call was made during a meeting with His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Khalid Al-Sabah, the Crown Prince of Kuwait, on the sidelines of the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
President Muizzu commended the Kuwaiti government for its continuous support to the Maldives, particularly in the health sector, and emphasized the Maldives' commitment to fostering a welcoming investment climate for Kuwaiti businesses. He outlined the country’s ongoing development programs, particularly the expansion of the transport system, as key areas where Kuwaiti investment could make a significant impact.
“The Maldives offers a unique opportunity for Kuwaiti investors to contribute to our growth and benefit from a vibrant and expanding market,” President Muizzu stated, emphasizing the strategic importance of Kuwait’s role in enhancing bilateral economic ties.
The President and the Crown Prince of Kuwait agreed to collaborate on matters of shared priority and concern, pledging to strengthen political and strategic connections. They discussed the importance of continued cooperation in various fields, reaffirming their commitment to deepening relations between the two nations.
