Male' City Council has decided to name the road behind Maafannu School as "Falastheen Hingun."
All council members who attended the Male' City Council's general meeting today unanimously agreed to name the narrow road, which leads from the back of Maafannu School to Kanbaa Aisa Rani Hingun, as 'Falastheen Hingun.'
Mayor Adam Azim proposed to the city council the idea of naming a road in Male' City in connection with Palestine. The Male' City Council is currently working on the construction of the road. According to the council, the road will be designed to display information about Palestinian history and stories about the struggle of the Palestinian people.
'Falastheen Hingun' will be officially opened at a special ceremony after the completion of the road.
