The Maldives Meteorological Department has forecast rough to very rough sea conditions during the upcoming Eid-ul-Adha holidays. Wind speeds are expected to range between 15 to 16 miles per hour, with the possibility of Kerry affecting several parts of the country.
As Eid-ul-Adha is a popular time for Maldivians to travel by sea for holidays, the Met office has urged everyone to stay informed about the weather and adhere to all safety measures while traveling.
In response to the Eid-ul-Adha celebrations, the President's Office has announced that government offices will be closed next week, with operations resuming on June 23.
