MTCC has been awarded the project for the construction of 75 housing units in M. Dhiggaru.
MTCC CEO Abdullah Ziyad signed the agreement on behalf of the company at a ceremony held today. Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Housing Zeenia Hameed signed on behalf of the Ministry.
The project will result in the construction of 75 three-story housing units on an area of 1,000 acres, with each of the units having three bedrooms.
The project was awarded to MTCC for 170 million MVR, with a completion time of 420 days. With a population of about 1,500, the town has long suffered from a housing shortage.
President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu announced this project during a meeting with the islanders in March.
MTCC said the housing project agreed upon today will provide a major solution to the housing problem in Dhiggaru.
