President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has announced that he will increase the salaries of all sectors of the government during his term.
The President said this in response to a question by Ali Shafee, in an episode of the “President’s Answers” series, on the salary increase for government employees.
Replying to this question, the President said that increasing the salaries of the institutions is his presidential promise.
The President notes that the country's economy will strengthen, income will increase, and the economy will recover.
The salaries of some sectors have already been increased and as the economy strengthens, the salaries of other sectors will also be increased, he said.
