President Decides to Waive Water and Electricity Bill Penalties

The President has decided to waive the penalties for long-standing unpaid water and electricity bills.

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu said in a post on X on Sunday that he has decided to waive the penalties of households who have not paid their electricity and water bills for a long time and informed the relevant companies and agencies.

The President's post said the move was taken to provide further relief to the people as part of the government's measures to improve the financial situation of the common people.

In addition, the President has asked the companies to provide a facility for the payment of outstanding electricity and water bills.
