108 plots of land for industrial purposes in Thilafushi Phase 2 are now open for sale.
The Housing Development Corporation (HDC) opened the bidding process for the purchase of land for industrial purposes in the second phase of Thilafushi yesterday. Applications can now be submitted by registering on the online bid portal.
3 categories of land were opened for sale. There are 64 plots of 2,500-4,999 acres, 42 plots of 5000-9,999 acres and two plots of 10,000-14,999 acres.
The minimum price for the land opened for sale in Thilafushi is 1,700 per acre MVR. The starting price of the 14,999 acres is 25.49 million MVR.
The government has decided to relocate the international port to Thilafushi as it is the commercial and industrial hub of the Male region.
Various industrial activities are already carried out in Thilafushi. These include cement sealing, gas bottle sealing and boat building.
