Malé and Fuzhou Sign Cooperation Agreement

The city of Fuzhou, China, has signed an agreement to strengthen cooperation in various fields with the city of Malé.

At the invitation of the Chinese President, Dr. Mohammed Muizzu visited China and held talks on the establishment of a sister city agreement between Fuzhou City and Malé City during his first visit to the country last week.

Deputy Mayor Ahmed Narysh signed a letter of intent to work together in various fields.

The agreement will strengthen relations between the two cities in many areas. These include science, technology, economics, education, culture, public health, sports and tourism.

President Muizzu's visit to China marked the beginning of a new chapter in bilateral relations. During his visit, 20 important agreements were exchanged between the two governments.
