President and First Lady Visit Chinese Communist Party Museum

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu and First Lady Saajidha Mohamed were invited to visit the Chinese Communist Party Museum in Beijing, China. The Museum is home to 4,548 pieces or sets of cultural relics, which includes items such as Mao Zedong’s coat and hat that he had worn at the Proclamation of the People’s Republic of China and the first Five-Star Red Flag of China.
Officials from the museum took the President and First Lady on a tour of the museum, accompanied by an informational session to highlight the evolution of Chinese culture and significant historical events.
Both the President and the First Lady were invited to sign the guest book at the museum. Dr. Muizzu used his message to convey commendations for the CCP’s efforts to preserve Chinese history. He also praised the exhibition for having such a wide array of pieces and artifacts from crucial moments in Modern China’s existence and the formation of the Chinese Communist Party.
This visit was a part of the President’s state visit to China, where he is set to meet President Xi Jinping in Beijing in the coming days.
