Male', Maldives - A grand celebration marked the 74th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China here in Male' today. The Chinese Ambassador to the Maldives, Her Excellency Wang Lixin, hosted a special reception tonight, which witnessed the attendance of numerous esteemed dignitaries.
At the forefront of the event were the President-elect Dr. Mohammed Muizzu and Vice President-elect Hussain Mohamed Latheef. Their attendance underlines the deep ties and mutual respect between the two nations.
Ambassador Wang Lixin, in her speech, emphasized the historically close relationship between the Maldives and China.
