Murder on Manadhoo Island: Maldives Police Search for Killer

A shocking murder has occurred in the island of Manadhoo, Maldives, leaving the small community of around 1000 people in shock. A 62-year-old woman who worked as a cleaner for the island council was found dead in her room with 21 stab wounds and marks on her throat from an attempted decapitation. The woman lived alone, and her house door was forced open by islanders after they did not hear from her for two days. She was found yesterday.
As of now, no one has been arrested regarding this murder. The Maldives police have barred people from leaving the island, and a special team from the police is on the island to investigate the crime. Island residents claim that someone from the island would not dare to commit such a heinous crime, and they are demanding swift action from the authorities to bring the culprit to justice.
This is not the first time a murder of this nature has occurred in the Maldives since President Solih assumed office. Last year, a young girl was mutilated and decapitated in the capital city of Male.
The murder has sent shockwaves through the small island community, which is now living in fear. The local authorities have urged residents to remain calm and have promised to do everything in their power to solve the case and bring the perpetrator to justice.
