Maldives Airports Company Limited has stated that passengers traveling to Velana International Airport may experience delays in the immigration process at the arrival terminal due to counter-upgrading work.
In a tweet today MACL stated that with the improved counters, passengers will experience a streamlined and expedited process.
In an earlier tweet, MACL had asked passengers to check in three hours in advance and fill out the Imuga form before check-in to minimize the delay caused by long queues.
The number of passengers arriving in the Maldives has increased as it is a holiday in many countries. Delaying the immigration process from the aravail counters these days can be difficult for many and can cause the airport to become more congested than it usually does.
