There might be photos which could compromise me and President Solih: Nasheed

Former president and the Speaker of Parliament, President Mohamed Nasheed stated that he might have compromising pictures of himself and President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih.

During a press conference, following the GDh. Thinadhoo visit, a reporter questioned the speaker asking for the reason behind his remarks about possessing pictures of the president committing adultery, and why had he not shared any proof to back the accusations. President Nasheed responded that he had never claimed to have image proof of the president committing adultery.

However, screenshots of President Nasheed’s messages to the MDP Whatsapp group accusing the presiding president of adulterous behavior had circulated on social media. President Nasheed had claimed to have four photos of President Solih having sexual intercourse with another woman.

President Nasheed asserted that reporters mangled his words and interpreted it differently. He added that, like he had said before, he had multiple photographs with the president and that there was a possibility of having compromising pictures of the two of them.

The government strongly and sternly denied the existence of any compromising pictures or videos of the president.
