“Help Pakistan Telethon '', organized by Pakistan-Maldives Friendship Association (PMFA) and some media outlets to help the people affected by the flood-ravaged state of Pakistan, collects over MVR 3.8 million in donations.
The initial 12 hours of the telethon brought in over a million Maldivian Rufiyaa.
The President of PMFA, Masoodh Imad, said that the cause received MVR 3.8 million in donations within the first 18 hours of the telethon.
The telethon ended at midnight last night.
Fund boxes to collect donations were placed all around Male’City as well as back in the islands.
