PG Office employees forced into fitness tests at PG Shameem’s brother’s gym

All the employees at the Prosecutor General’s Office have been forced into taking fitness or aptitude tests at Male’ Fitness Center, a gym owned by Haamid Abdul Qafoor, the brother of the Prosecutor General, Hussain Shameem.
A lawyer at the PG Office told TMJ that PG Shameem had proposed that his employees take aptitude tests to mark their fitness levels.
As part of the tests, the employees were asked to attend Male’Fitness Club, a gym owned by Shameem’s brother Hamid Abdul Qafoor, where they will have to partake in exercises as instructed by the gym instructors along with other tests.
It remains unclear whether the funds for this exercise were coming out of the PG Office budget or not.
The lawyer told TMJ that the employees were uncomfortable and unhappy for being forced to do these tests and that too at an establishment holding his own interest.
