Pres. Nasheed brings hardship to residents of Chaandhanee Magu

Residents of houses in Chaandhanee Magu raised concerns about the hardships brought on by the former President and the Speaker of Parliament Mohamed Nasheed’s frequent visits to the area.
A concerned individual residing in one of the buildings in the area told TMJ that Pres. Nasheed had been frequenting a house located near Chandhanee Magu Quickbiz. His visits result in towing of vehicles parked in the area as well as the relocation of vehicles to alternate spots by the police, posing incredible hardships for the people living in the area.
TMJ has learned that the Nasheed is visiting a penthouse apartment at “Beyrumath Ge”, the residence of his friend “Maalimee Ibbe”. Although, the reason for his visits remain unclear.

Some people have speculated that parties are hosted in the home. The credibility of this speculation remains unknown.

President Nasheed has also been seen going into his office which is also located down the same street.

Chaandhanee Magu has always been a difficult street for vehicles to park in and with the restrictions imposed on parking on Majeedhee Magu, the adversities have intensified. The public has voiced their dismay with the recent operation of traffic police and their alacrity to tow or dislocate public vehicles parked on roads without prior notice.

Furthermore, Pres. Nasheed’s visits to his home, G. Kenereege every afternoon, resulting in closure of several adjacent roads leading to the address, has been noticed to inconvenience students and parents.

The speaker, now residing in Muraidhoo Ge, sometimes visits his home, Kenereege, for meals amongst other reasons.
