The High Commission of India in the Maldives has been relocated to Hulhumale’.
The High Commission was previously being run in H Athireege, located on Ameer Ahmed Magu.
A notice on the building said the High Commission will now operate from lot number 11499, located in the first phase of Hulhumale’. The move came at a time when the Government of Maldives is developing a diplomatic enclave in the second phase of Hulhumale’.
India’s Minister of External Affairs Dr S Jaishankar had laid the foundation stone for the planned building in the enclave on a trip in 2019.
