President Nasheed’s phone stolen in London

Parliament Speaker former President Mohamed Nasheed’s phone has been stolen while having lunch with his daughter in a restaurant in London, United Kingdom.
Speaker’s Deputy MP Eva Abdullah had forwarded a message sent by Nasheed’s daughter to the Parliament Whatsapp group.
The forwarded message said that Nasheed’s phone was stolen by a person, while they were having lunch in a restaurant. She had also asked the MPs to block the number.
Nasheed’s number has been removed from the Parliament Whatsapp group.
The was stolen mere days after Nasheed had made allegations of an extramarital affair on President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih. Nasheed claimed that he had photos of this affair.
Dhiyares understands that a directive was issued on Maldives Police Service (MPS) to prepare for a raid on Speaker Nasheed’s residence.
Nasheed made the allegations after Nasheed’s brother Nazim Sattar was arrested on sodomy charges. Nazim Sattar and several other men have been implicated in a massive sex ring involving a Bangladeshi man.
