President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has revealed that he had not talked to Parliament Speaker Mohamed Nasheed on contesting the upcoming Presidential elections.
In a statement given to Sangu TV, President Solih said that no discussions on that matter had taken place and any statements made by Speaker Nasheed was a fabrication.
In an interview to Dhivehi Channel, Speaker Nasheed said that he did not believe that President Solih would contest in the upcoming elections.
President Solih in his statement, added that he had not ruled out in contesting either in a primary or a Presidential election. He also said that he had not spoken to Speaker Nasheed on the matter, either.
