MP Hussain Tags Along On UNGA President's Official Visit To Bahrain

MP Hussain "An'dhun Hussain" Shaheem (MDP-Henveiru South) has tagged along in some of Foreign Minister Abdullah Shahid's foreign visits made in his capacity as President of the 76th United Nations General Assembly.

Shahid is currently in Bahrain in his capacity as UNGA President. During the visit, he has met with the King of Bahrain and met with several officials of the country.

Shahid had posted a photo taken at the Qal'at Bahrain on Twitter. The photo showed that MP Shaheem had also participated in the visit.

In another photo, taken during a meeting Shahid had had with Bahraini Foreign Minister Abdullatif bin Rashid al-Zayani, MP Hussain can be seen sitting next to Shahid; with the rest of the UN delegation.

MP Hussain has a close relationship with Shahid, and had visited Shahid at the UN Headquarters after he had been elected to the UNGA presidency. MP Hussain had also been present when Shahid had met with former Indian High Commissioner to the Maldives, Sanjay Sudhir, onboard a safari yacht.

The reason for MP Hussain's participation in the visits Shahid makes in his capacity as UNGA President has not been disclosed by neither Shahid nor Hussain.
