Opposition Plans India Out Demonstration For Friday

The opposition coalition has planned for a special demonstration under the banner of “Maldives In Defence Of Sovereignty” (Minivakamuge Dhifaaugai Dhivehin) tomorrow.

At a news conference held at PPM’s offices today, spokesperson Heena Waleed had announced that a special demonstration under the banner of “Maldives In Defence Of Sovereignty” would be held tomorrow an had requested for all who could to join.

She had also said that the Coalition requested for all participants at the event to either wear the red “India Out” t-shirts, or a plain red-coloured t-shirt.

Opposition leader, Abdullah Yameen Abdul Gayyoom, had instructed the opposition to intensify their campaign to remove the assets and personnel of the Indian military from the Maldives. The government had officially responded that the intensifying movement would be stopped.
