Human Rights Commission of Maldives (HRCM) has announced that they will be meeting with the children who are residing at the Hulhumale Fiyavathi Children's Shelter.
Speaking to the online news “Avas” HRCM Secretary-General Mohamed Yameen stated that Gender Ministry Councillors are providing therapy to the children at the shelter. Yameen also said that at the moment some of the children are extremely hyper.
Yameen also said that after Gender Ministry finishes investigating the situation they will be meeting with the children at the Shelter to investigate the matter further and the information would be passed on to the relevant authorities.
HRCM had visited the premises last on the 11th of August they had monitored the shelter and had informed of the good and bad issues of the place to the relevant authorities.
