Former President and incumbent Speaker of Parliament Mohamed Nasheed has stated that a person impersonating him has been wreaking havoc on the social media app Clubhouse.
Former President Nasheed tweeted today that he does not know the imposter wreaking havoc on Clubhouse. However, some speculate that the anonymous speaker in Clubhouse discussions is in fact Nasheed.
He tweeted that someone using his name has been creating trouble on Clubhouse. Nasheed added that his only account is named "mohamednasheed".
Speaker Nasheed added that he does not know the imposter inciting conflict under his name, and has requested for the person's identity to be revealed.
Many have been speculating that the person disguising their voice during Clubhouse discussions is President Nasheed, as they both exhibit similar mannerisms of speaking.
