National Traitors Not Needed in Movement to Secure Independence: Adam Shareef

Former Defense Minister and parliament representative for Maduvvari constituency Adam Shareef Umar has stated that in order to secure the independence of Maldives, there is nothing that can be done with those who betrayed the nation and risked it's independence.
Adam Shareef made his statement regarding People's National Congress (PNC) Leader Abdul Raheem Abdulla (Adhurey) inviting all political leaders to join the opposition coalition's "Maldivians in Defense of Independence" campaign on Friday night.
According to Adam Shareef, political figures of the current government have betrayed the nation, and that he does not believe they are capable of defending Maldives' independence.
He claimed that upholding a country's independence, sovereignty and policies are vital for a nation to remain a nation.
The current government has sold Maldives' independence to neighbouring India, and all of the country's prideful possessions have been sold to foreigners.
Adam Shareef stated that the government challenged the nation's independence, and has sold the land, reefs and seas to foreign entities, and independence can only be secured by joining the opposition's movement.
