Employees who welcomed President Yameen suspended, Adam Shareef concerned

Former Minister of Defense and Member of Parliament for the Maduvvari constituency, Adam Shareef voiced his concerns over suspension of employees who had been part of the welcoming party of Former President and the presidential candidate form the opposition coalition, President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Qayyoom during his Addu City tour.
The People’s National Congress (PNC)’s PG leader expressed his worry following the suspension of a Fenaka Corporation employee, a state owned enterprise that suspended its staff for 30 days without pay.
The employee, who was part of President Yameen’s welcoming party to Addu City for his campaign tour, received a letter stating that the reason for his suspension was to aid an investigation concerning him that is currently being pursued.
Tweeting on the issue, Adam Shareef stated that the suspension of a staff depending on his political inclination and participation goes against democratic conduct.
Adam Shareef asserted that this goes to show President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih administration’s weakness and their unjust abuse of power over their subjects. He assured that a PPM administration will bring justice to the wrongfully treated.
