The government has stated that it has obtained enough COVID-19 vaccines for the eligible population.
Spokesperson for the President's Office Mabrook Azeez tweeted on Friday that Maldives is one of the nation's to have acquired enough vaccine doses for its entire eligible population and that everyone must be cooperative if the country is to return to its previous state.
Spokesperson Mabrook appealed to the public to inform others of the importance of getting vaccinated.
At present, 321,594 people have received their first dose in Maldives. 263,067 people have received both doses, completing their vaccination.
The government is aiming to vaccinate at least 90 percent of the eligible population by the end of August.
