Spokesperson at the President’s Office Mabrook Azeez has revealed President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih’s departure to Dubai today.
A message the Spokesperson sent to the media read that from today (July 27) to July 31, President Solih has decided to depart to Dubai on an unofficial visit.
While President Solih is visiting Dubai this holiday, the President and the First Lady also spent the Eid holidays in Sri Lanka. The President traveled to Sri Lanka on July 20 and returned to the Maldives on Independence Day.
Spokesperson Mabrook stated that the first couple traveled to Sri Lanka for a holiday.
On a previous occasion, the President stated that he enjoys travelling around the world. More than USD 1 million was spent on his travels on his first year in office.
