President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has met with President of Sri Lanka Gotabaya Rajapaksa during his unofficial visit to Sri Lanka.
The meeting was held at the Sri Lankan President’s Office. The presidents discussed losses faced due to COVID-19, and measures to overcome the pandemic.
This is the first time President Solih has met President Gotabaya since he was elected. Former President Maithripala Sirisena occupied office during President Solih’s previous official visit to Sri Lanka.
The meeting today was also attended by Ambassador of Maldives to Sri Lanka Omar Abdul Razzaq and the Special Envoy for Climate Change Sabra Noordeen.
