President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has declared that the real secret to the position, trust, and admiration Maldives has received on an international scale is the late Fathulla Jameel.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the Fathulla Jameel Building, President Solih stated that the new building for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been constructed in the honor of the late former minister, taking into account his thoughts and visions.
The President claimed that the new building was named after Fathulla Jameel, due to the importance of giving life to his dreams.
He attributed the reputation of Maldives to the policies the late Fathulla Jameel followed during his 27 years as Foreign Minister.
The foreign policies protected human rights and established independence and peace. According to President Solih, the main direction of the Maldives was based on those policies.
"The true secret to the position, trust, and admiration Maldives has received on an international scale is the hard work of late Fathulla Jameel", said the President.
The highest priority of the late minister was advocating for upholding the policies on an international level.
President Solih further stated that the government currently maintains those policies and that Maldives will always advocate for the independence and sovereignty of all nations. He claimed that Maldives would uphold the conditions of democracy, and prioritize establishing peace.
