The Fathulla Jameel Building has been officially opened, and the operations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs have shifted to the building.
The opening ceremony for the building this morning was officiated by President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih. Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdullah Shahid, the Chief Justice, and other Foreign Ministry officials were also present at the function.
Speaking at the event, Minister Shahid stated that the ministry building was renamed in honor of former Foreign Minister late Fathulla Jameel, for his valuable contributions to the country.
During construction, ministry headquarters was temporarily shifted to the MTCC Sawmill Relocation Building. The Fathulla Jameel Building was constructed by China.
