President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has declared that it was a pleasure to have spoken with his good friend Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi on the phone today.
Following the call, President Solih tweeted that speaking with his good friend PM Narendra Modi this afternoon was a great pleasure.
The President claimed that a number of issues were discussed during the phone call, regarding the COVID-19 response of Maldives and India, as well as post-pandemic recovery.
PM Modi tweeted before President Solih, revealing that he had assured India would aid in Maldives' efforts against COVID-19.
He also stated they discussed the progress of development projects and congratulated President Solih on Maldivian Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdullah Shahid's appoitment as the 76th President of the United Nations General Assembly.
