Push Political Ideologies Aside, Heed Requests of Hiyaa Union: Dr. Muizzu

Mayor of Male' City Council and former Minister of Housing and Urban Development Dr. Mohamed Muizzu declared that the government and Housing Development Corporation (HDC) must heed the requests of the Hiyaa Union.

Dr. Muizzu stated that the government and HDC must push political ideologies aside and heed the requests of the Hiyaa Union, for the rights of citizens.

"The government and HDC must answer to the requests of the Hiyaa Union for the sake of the public's rights. I implore them to Puch political ideologies aside and listen to the public", said Male' Mayor Dr. Muizzu.

The former Housing Minister claimed that the flats constructed by the previous administration were to be sold for no more than MVR 5,600. Increasing the price of Hiyaa flats is an indisposition for the people, as selling the flats for MVR 5,600 will not incur any losses for HDC.

Dr. Muizzu stated that by the end of the former administration, HDC had become one of the most economically wealthy companies, and the current government is increasing the price for Hiyaa Flats to undermine HDC.
