CEO of Maldives Transport and Contracting Company Plc (MTCC) Adam Azim has bought a plot of land worth MVR 2.1 million in capital city Male'.
The former owners of the 650 ft² property named H. Glista are Aminath Ibrahim, Aishath Seema, Mohamed Shiyam, Ali Shiyam, and Abdulla Shiyam.
Azim purchased the land for a total of MVR 2,189,781 (two million one hundred and eighty-nine thousand seven hundred and eighty-one), which is approximately MVR 3,368.8 per square foot.
Civil Court Judge Hafizaa Abdul Sattar, overlooking the matter, confirmed on June 6 that Azim had completed his payment.
The court declared that the agreement was valid, and transferred ownership of H. Glista to Adam Azim.
Azim is also a shareholder of Rasheed Carpentry and Construction, one of the major construction companies in the nation.
