Former Vice President and acclaimed legal practitioner Dr. Mohamed Jameel Ahmed declared that President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih prioritizes awarding high salaries to unqualified personnel and their families.
In a tweet posted today, Dr. Jameel claimed that President Solih prioritizes providing high salaries to unqualified people and their families using money from taxpayers. He also attached images of some government officials.
His tweet further read that the government has not contributed or earned any income apart from compensating unqualified officials with taxpayer funds. He expressed his disappointment in President Solih for not acknowledging the fragility of the situation.
Advisor for opposition Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) Dr. Jameel heavily criticized the government. Previously an advocate for the election of Solih, the former vice president reiterated the incompetence of President Solih in running the country.
