Officers Suspected of Vandalizing Military Base Reprimanded

Officers suspected of vandalizing bathroom stalls at Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) base Kalhuthuh'kalaa Koshi with "#IndiaOut" were reprimanded.
Images shared with Dhiyares the sister website of TMJ on June 21 depicted bathroom stalls vandalized with "#IndiaOut", a hashtag popularized on social media to expel Indian military presence in Maldives. There was an additional hashtag of "#MariyaOut", calling for the expulsion of Minister of Defense Mariya Didi.
An MNDF official claimed that the bathroom in question was on the second floor of the military base.
Dhiyares was informed that an internal investigation took place to find the officers responsible, but was unsuccessful. However, it was confirmed that those suspected of the act were reprimanded.
When asked whether the officers were discovered and if they were reprimanded, MNDF Spokesperson Major Ibrahim Azim refused to comment.
