Security at Nasheed's Residence Lowered

The family of Former President and incumbent Speaker of Parliament Mohamed Nasheed has revealed that security at his residence, Keneree ge, has been reduced.
President Nasheed's younger brother Nazim Abdul Sattar inquired of Minister of Defence Mariya Didi if security was lowered as he traveled to Maalhos, Alif Alif Atoll. The inquiry was made in a tweet posted earlier today.
In a local media interview, Nazim claimed that since his departure to Maalhos, the family reported that the residence was being guarded by a single officer of the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF). A stark contrast to the seven officers previously assigned to guard President Nasheed's quarters.
"There used to be two guards out front, four inside the residence, and one SPG (Special Protection Group) guard. The seven guards were there when I left, but now there's only one", said Nazim.
Defense forces refused to comment on why security was lowered following an increase due to the May 6 terror attack.
